  • Politics Is Like Hiring A Hitman
    by Scott Woods inPolitical on2020-08-13

For me, politics is like hiring a hitman. I have values and things I care about. I care enough about them to at least bother voting for 5 minutes every year for one issue or another. And because I care at least that much, I vote for people who align with the ability to realize the things I care about.

I believe our vote is the punctuation of our voice. Without that resounding exclamation mark, I believe our voices are just incoherent noise.

  • Living in a Black No-Man's Land
by Roger Madison Jr. inOur Community on2019-10-28

There are many narratives that define the Black experience in America in this 2nd decade of the 21st century. Our striving over the centuries of our sojourn in this nation is a tapestry of every human experience -- oppression, enslavement, forced assimilation, dehumanization, exclusion, segregation, isolation, struggle, perseverance, achievement, excellence, celebration, mourning, despair, progress, setbacks, lynching, assassination, genocide, terror, self-hatred, low esteem, pride,...

  • Fighting Racism
by Scott Woods inOur Community on2018-10-25

I had a boss who was racist. Not an outright bigot, of course; her toolbox was more subtle than most. We bumped heads a lot over inconsequential things. She frequently couldn’t keep my name out her mouth. Lot of gaslighting. You know…2018 style. I tried a lot of ways to combat or navigate her issues. None of them worked, and that’s saying a lot because I’m really good at fighting racism. But at the end of the day – every day – she was my boss, I had to deal with her, and that was that. Finally I...

STILL WATER RUNS DEEP AND POWERFUL PEOPLE MOVE UNDERCOVER SMART.

As of OCTOBER 6, 2008 and with all rhetoric pushed to the side there is tangible evidence that we are advancing our purpose and mission to penetrate the relentless dynamics resisting African American participation in the global market equation in the 21st century.

Our message strategy is averaging double-digit views and in some arenas triple-digit views. The reply ratio to our message strategy has shown significant increase as well.

There has been a significant increase in black professionals demonstrating the courage and confidence to post or reply for the first time. Young black professionals that previously lurked in the shadows of cyber space are now coming forth to post messages, propose discussions and to participate in discussions.

Black professional memberships across the matrix have significantly increased. Groups such as The Evergreen Park Writers meet-up and The Detroit Writers galore meet-up groups have experienced a significant increase in membership as a direct result of our strategic message placements.

In using the strategy of "Undercover Smart" we have come to see quantitative movement, improvement and stability on both the black professional intellectual front and the black business entrepreneurial marketing front.

On the black professional intellectual front we are witnessing the renaissance of black professional intellect. Black professional groups that are being exposed to the strategy of "Undercover Smart" are moving away from trivial pursuits, announcements, and hedonistic endeavors.

The black professional groups throughout the matrix are evolving and resolving to write and post more substantial messages, announcements, discussions and meaningful dialog.

Black professional groups such as The DC Black Professional Literary and Critique group, The San Diego Black Professionals, The Atlanta Black Professionals, The Dallas Fort Worth black professionals and various other black professional groups are beginning to grasp and secure their rightful place on the throne of leadership and responsibility.

Black professional groups exposed to the strategy of "Undercover Smart" are grasping the realization that the intellectual realm of leadership, guidance and power belongs to them and not to the African American ministers, preachers, reverends, pastors or politicians.

Black professional groups across the matrix are realizing that it is their responsibility to hold the frontline and to navigate the course and direction of African American inclusion in and beyond the 21st century.

Using the strategy of "Undercover Smart" we have also successfully penetrated and aggregated the entrepreneurial marketing front as well.

In November of 2006 Mubarak Inter-prizes followed up a lead posted by a B.P.R.A. member that lead us to register and attend the Truth and Soul Black Expo held February 14, 2007 at the University of Illinois in Chicago Illinois. Utilizing the lead we were able to contact and ally with the UIC Black Greek Council.

Through our alliance with the Black Greek Council we were able to penetrate, aggregate and utilize the resources of the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) to interact, coexist and promote in real-time our strategy, skills, products and services.

The young black professional students attending UIC witnessed for the first time in real-time the epitome of their educational and professional pursuits. The young black professional in training at UIC witnessed for the first time the distinction between black vendors and black business professionals.

They witnessed mature black professional heavy-hitting authors and business professionals such as authors Anthony Ellis McGee, Talayah G. Stovall and Enoch Mubarak. They met ardent black business professionals such as the business owners of Warm Spirits skin care products, Simply Bliss Jewelry, Arts and crafts and the stunning product layout of Seisyn Jewelry products.

As opposed to seeing vendors merely selling them their wares the young black professional students in training found employment. Mubarak Inter-prizes hired at $10.00 per hour the services of two students as hostesses to introduce and promote our products.

The Young black professional students of tomorrow summarily witnessed mature and seasoned black professionals in the business of exacting and sustaining an infrastructure for their existence and inclusion in the global marketing equation in the 21st century.

The young black professional students at UIC witnessed with revelation the evitable faces they will someday relieve of duty. They were vividly introduced to the businesses and skills they must perpetuate into the 21st century and beyond.

The evolution of black professional intellect and entrepreneurial acumen evidences clear proof throughout the matrix that the cumulative efforts of Mubarak Inter-prizes utilizing the strategy of "Undercover Smart" is taking African American black professionals to a better and brighter day in real-time.

Acquire, read and use the true, tried and tested strategy of "Undercover Smart" in your business or personal endeavors and the future is yours to see, guaranteed.

Sincerely, Enoch Mubarak
