One Step From Insanity is denial of your true self, living without focus, and merely existing... | ||
I read the newspaper, turn on the tv occasionally and walk down the street and I see the dead walking. People who are existing, not living... And than I took a look at myself in the mirror and I realized that once, I too was the dead walking. I was unhappy, I felt like I had no purpose, I felt empty inside, unfulfilled. And now, I feel so happy, overjoyed, like I am living, and have a purpose in life. And I realized that this is because I have a relationship with God, I have put Jesus as my lord and savior and I am living out my dreams. And the more I talk to other people, I realize they are one step from insanity...and that they need help. And that things I have learned can save them from the hell I just came from. The name of my third book is "One Step From Insanity" (it will be out in early Spring). And the more I thought about this blog, the more I realized people needed advise, quickly, on how to get to sanity. Peace of mind is priceless... Everything I have talked about in this blog to date, are things that can lead to peace, sanity and good health spiritually...So this is why I have changed the name and will continue with it going forward. As you bring in the new year, I hope your desire for achieving peace of mind is at the forefront of your mind. Stay blessed!!! : ) Lady Charmaine Day www.unlimitedhelp.com/blog.html |

Living in a Black No-Man's Land
There are many narratives that define the Black experience in America in this 2nd decade of the 21st century. Our striving over the centuries of our sojourn in this nation is a tapestry of every human experience -- oppression, enslavement, forced assimilation, dehumanization, exclusion, segregation, isolation, struggle, perseverance, achievement, excellence, celebration, mourning, despair, progress, setbacks, lynching, assassination, genocide, terror, self-hatred, low esteem, pride,...

Fighting Racism
I had a boss who was racist. Not an outright bigot, of course; her toolbox was more subtle than most. We bumped heads a lot over inconsequential things. She frequently couldn’t keep my name out her mouth. Lot of gaslighting. You know…2018 style. I tried a lot of ways to combat or navigate her issues. None of them worked, and that’s saying a lot because I’m really good at fighting racism. But at the end of the day – every day – she was my boss, I had to deal with her, and that was that. Finally I...
