  • Politics Is Like Hiring A Hitman
    by Scott Woods inPolitical on2020-08-13

For me, politics is like hiring a hitman. I have values and things I care about. I care enough about them to at least bother voting for 5 minutes every year for one issue or another. And because I care at least that much, I vote for people who align with the ability to realize the things I care about.

I believe our vote is the punctuation of our voice. Without that resounding exclamation mark, I believe our voices are just incoherent noise.

  • Living in a Black No-Man's Land
by Roger Madison Jr. inOur Community on2019-10-28

There are many narratives that define the Black experience in America in this 2nd decade of the 21st century. Our striving over the centuries of our sojourn in this nation is a tapestry of every human experience -- oppression, enslavement, forced assimilation, dehumanization, exclusion, segregation, isolation, struggle, perseverance, achievement, excellence, celebration, mourning, despair, progress, setbacks, lynching, assassination, genocide, terror, self-hatred, low esteem, pride,...

  • Fighting Racism
by Scott Woods inOur Community on2018-10-25

I had a boss who was racist. Not an outright bigot, of course; her toolbox was more subtle than most. We bumped heads a lot over inconsequential things. She frequently couldn’t keep my name out her mouth. Lot of gaslighting. You know…2018 style. I tried a lot of ways to combat or navigate her issues. None of them worked, and that’s saying a lot because I’m really good at fighting racism. But at the end of the day – every day – she was my boss, I had to deal with her, and that was that. Finally I...

MEXICAN PRESIDENT PRESS CONFERENCE AT WHITE HOUSE

Yesterday, the president of the United States and the President of Mexico; Philippe Calderon stood side by side to say naughty, naughty to Arizona during a press conference. At no point did the Mexican president bring up the fact or the reasons why people are willing to die to leave Mexico. Yes, they are willing to risk their lives to leave Mexico and I think that it takes big BALLS (nerve) to come into our country, stand there and criticize Arizona and U.S. citizens as people from his country are risking their lives to leave his country. At no point did I hear of this president mention any programs or solutions proposed for the people of his country to stay in his country to help build their economic independence and structure. At no point did he propose to the United States that his country will establish laws & environments for the better treatment of their people so they will have no reason to flood this country let alone be willing to risk their lives to enter the country. You know there is something terribly wrong with a country when its citizens are willing to risk their lives to "Get the Hell out of Dodge" as it is well known in Mexico and elsewhere that almost 40% of all peoples trying to illegally enter the United States die before they get here from the rough terrain & conditions they have to cross, let alone getting shot by over-anxious-overly hyped State Troopers, and crazed vigilantes and haters taking target practice at them as they cross the border.

In Mexico, their government has deported and jailed all foreign illegal entities entering their country and has racially profiled any non-Mexican citizenry or visitors. But yet, he is playing on the hype of illegal immigration.

What do you think Mexico would do if I or any other person of non-Mexican decent entered Mexico illegally and demanded that they give me healthcare, a drivers license... etc. You know exactly what that country would do... round all of us up, pack us into a bus and deport us right back across the border!

Now I asks the question..."Why is Mexican President Philippe Calderon taking the time to come to the White House when he hasn't taken any steps to clean up his own house??? Does this sound peculiar?

It should! As I pointed out in previous articles, there is a method behind the madness here that I hope people don't over look. It's not just the fact that business hire Mexicans for cheap labor, that's another issue. But the fact that this immigration flood is to strengthen the presence of immigrants in this country and also Canada for the merging of the three countries to form one Combined National State and the Amero Monetary System- which by the way has been written into law by former President George Bush. Mexican President Calderon is noted as one of the most corrupt presidents in the Country's history and has been in bed with the United States government since his presidency and perhaps even longer. He knows exactly what to put in place there to change Mexico's economic status and the poor treatment of its people. It is peculiar that her visits the White House at this particular time when the United States economy is threatening bottoming out within the next year or two. It's not about hiring illegals as the Media is hyping to you. The economy is so bad here that even some Mexicans have either moved back to Mexico or migrated to other countries to find work. This is about furthering a concentrated merge to eventually form a one world government. And that's what time it really is.
