  • Politics Is Like Hiring A Hitman
    by Scott Woods inPolitical on2020-08-13

For me, politics is like hiring a hitman. I have values and things I care about. I care enough about them to at least bother voting for 5 minutes every year for one issue or another. And because I care at least that much, I vote for people who align with the ability to realize the things I care about.

  • Living in a Black No-Man's Land
by Roger Madison Jr. inOur Community on2019-10-28

There are many narratives that define the Black experience in America in this 2nd decade of the 21st century. Our striving over the centuries of our sojourn in this nation is a tapestry of every human experience -- oppression, enslavement, forced assimilation, dehumanization, exclusion, segregation, isolation, struggle, perseverance, achievement, excellence, celebration, mourning, despair, progress, setbacks, lynching, assassination, genocide, terror, self-hatred, low esteem, pride,...

  • Fighting Racism
by Scott Woods inOur Community on2018-10-25

I had a boss who was racist. Not an outright bigot, of course; her toolbox was more subtle than most. We bumped heads a lot over inconsequential things. She frequently couldn’t keep my name out her mouth. Lot of gaslighting. You know…2018 style. I tried a lot of ways to combat or navigate her issues. None of them worked, and that’s saying a lot because I’m really good at fighting racism. But at the end of the day – every day – she was my boss, I had to deal with her, and that was that. Finally I...

Black Business Speak Up For Business Owners

It all starts on on Tuesday nights at 9:30pm eastern. Business Owners from all over hurry to listen to the Black Business Builders Speak Up Radio Show. The Black Business Speak Up is an "interactive call in talk show that promotes Black business and the entrepreneurial spirit".

Promoting black business is a must for the foundational purpose to empower black business owners with the proper online marketing tools and resources needed to have a strong sustaining business presence online.

As a gift to the  Black Business Builders Club hosts this talk radio show so that home based business owners can receive free website traffic, promote their business and network with other business owners and professionals.

The show starts at 9:30pm eastern and ends at 10:30pm eastern. Business owners call in on and they wait in queue. The host Lee Green, who is the author of the "Black Folks Guide to Making Big Money on the Internet and the creator of Black Business Space and the Black Business Builders Club, will begin the radio show with comments and greeting the listeners and guests. Ms Fahim, "the Herb Queen" is also a host for the show.

Next the host will call out the last four digits of the business owners phone number and the business owner will have the opportunity to state their name, the name of their company, present an overview of their company and give their website address. Please do not worry about not knowing what to say. By sticking to those pertinent pieces of information will prove to be more than enough as you will only receive one or two minutes to present (there a lot of people who call in to be on the show to promote their business). Business owners can also use the computer to speak but in my opinion the phone is the best route to take when calling in.

If time permits the host will give all of the business owners one more opportunity to at least present their name and their website address. By far this is one of the best ways to get free website traffic to your business and to network with several other business owners online at one time.

Why should you take the time to present your business on the talk radio show? Free website traffic and free business promotion is used rather loosely online. Meaning that sometimes there is always some type of bait and switch that a person will have to go through.

We at the Black Business Builders Club understand that black business owners need the proper guidance and consistent online marketing training. Black business owners failure rate is statistically high. Therefore if business owners desire to have a successful business presence online the talk radio show will prove to be a great start. Plus, where can you go and solely talk about your business and have a captive audience listening and waiting for your website url.

The atmosphere that the Black Business Speak Up provides is so positive. Listeners are truly sad when the show has to end and they eagerly look forward to every Tuesday night.
