    by Scott Woods inPolitical on2020-08-13

For me, politics is like hiring a hitman. I have values and things I care about. I care enough about them to at least bother voting for 5 minutes every year for one issue or another. There are world events shaping the course of mankind's history today. The Day of Pentecost changed the world of Christ's disciples unlike any other event in their lives.

Often people will make fun of others whose behavior is different from what they consider normal.

Acts 2:1-4

Verse 1 ... Sacred Seasons; Pentecost, The Apostolic Pentecost

Pentecost is the birthday of the Church.

Verse 2 ... Miracles; Miraculous Deliverances & Phenomena; Sounds

There was a "sound" that was "like the rush of a mighty wind" but it does not say there was any wind.

In different languages listen to voices expressing the same words of praise to God.

Breath or Wind is a symbol of the Spirit of God (Ezekiel 37:9, 14; John 3:8)

Festivals of Israel ... there were seven in all.,

Pentecost/Festival of Weeks was the second festival. It was celebrated fifty days after the Passover. It lasted one day (Deuteronomy 16:9-12).

(Acts 1:4; Acts 1:5; Acts 11:15; Deuteronomy 16:16; Joel 2:28-32 - Reference Scriptures in the Sunday School Book)

Some were amazed and some were in doubt. The outpouring of power on the apostles on Pentecost was the fulfillment of Jesus'/Yeshua' promise. The Church entered upon the last days as a result of the coming of the Pentecost (Acts 2:17).

(Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:14-21; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:17)

Mankind (male/female) in some point of their lives will face experiences that produce dramatic changes in their lives. Life transforming power is provided by the Holy Spirit.

To the fearful, change is threatening because they worry things will become worse. To the hopeful, change is encouraging because mankind (male/female) feel things may become better.

Buck Rogers quoted, in Getting the Best Out of Yourself & Others, "We live in a time of paradox, contradiction, opportunity, and above all, change (Speaker's Sourcebook).
