Apocalyptic Literature: Chapters 7-12 of Daniel contain the earliest mode of Apocalyptic Literature.
Apocrypha: non-canonical which, Jerome (400 A.D.) considered useful for private perusal, & “for example of life & instruction of matters,” but which ought not to be used to “establish any doctrine.”
These books were not admitted into the Hebrew canon by the Jews.
