DAY 1: Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Depart from the USA

Depart the USA to South Africa. Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.

DAY 2: Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Arrive in Johannesburg, welcome dinner

Arrive in Johannesburg. Transfer to your hotel. Welcome Dinner at Moyo Restaurant in Melrose Arch (hosted by Bono Safaris & Tours).
Overnight: Johannesburg, Holiday Inn Rosebank

DAY 3 - Day 5: Monday, October 9, 2017, through Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - Kruger National Park

Transport on Monday to Kruger National Park. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Bono Tours and Safaris tour guides will be with you all the times for the duration of the tour. Sightseeing and game drives are conducted with the tour guide in a Bono Tours and Safaris air-conditioned vehicle on Tuesday. Wednesday, we will travel through the Blyde River Canyon along the Panoramic Scenic Route, visiting Mac Mac Falls, and God’s Window on the way back to Johannesburg.

DAY 6: Thursday, October 12, 2017 - Johannesburg - Apartheid Museum, Soweto Tour

After an early breakfast depart on a tour of The Apartheid Museum complex, dedicated to illustrating apartheid and the 20th century history of South Africa. Then we will travel to Soweto and experience a fascinating glimpse of the bustling neighborhood life of Soweto, the most metropolitan township in the country, setting trends in politics, fashion, music, dance and language. We will visit Nelson Mandela's Soweto home, before proceeding to the Hector Peterson memorial, dedicated to one of the first casualties of the Soweto uprising of 1976.

DAY 7: Friday, October 13, 2017 - Pretoria, Hartbeespoort Dam, Lesedi Village

The Pretoria Capital City tour offers a visit to some of the Historical Sites including the Union Buildings with the newly erected Sculpture of Nelson Mandela. Pretoria is called the Jacaranda City - named because of the beautiful jacaranda trees that line the streets in the main part of town making for a beautiful purple October.
Lunch is at the scenic Hartbeespoort Dam where there is also a bustling flea market to purchase local crafts.
Lesedi Cultural Village: Lesedi is a Basotho word meaning Place of light. This is a multi-cultural village and a home of 5 African Tribes i.e. Basotho, Zulu, Pedi, Xhosa and Ndebele. The tour includes a visit to each homestead, audio visual presentation, traditional dancing and dinner buffet of the finest African cuisine.

DAY 8: Saturday, October 14, 2017 - Flight to Cape Town, Lagoon Beach Hotel

DAY 9: Sunday, October 15, 2017 - Cape Peninsula Tour, Table Mountain

Today, depart on a full day Cape Peninsula Tour to the southwestern tip of Africa, followed by a stunning view of Cape Town from Table Mountain. Dinner at the Crypt Jazz Restaurant.

DAY 10: Monday, October 16, 2017 - Tour of Winelands, shopping in Stellenbosch

After a leisurely breakfast depart on a half day visiting various Wine Estates. Here you'll enjoy your wine tasting. The Cape Winelands region is the source of many legendary Cape wines. Its classic Cape-Dutch homesteads, mountainous surrounds, grand heritage and sumptuous restaurants have earned the Cape Winelands the right to call itself South Africa's culinary capital.

DAY 11: Tuesday, October 17, 2017 - Tour of Robben Island and Shopping at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront

The excursion starts from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront at the Nelson Mandela Gateway. The three and a half hour tour includes a return trip across Table Bay, a visit to the Maximum Security Prison, interaction with an ex-political prisoner and a 45 minute bus tour with a guide providing commentary. Return to the V&A Waterfront for a leisurely afternoon of shopping and dinner.
