On September 25, 1965, Black Baseball Legend, Leroy Robert "Satchel" Paige Pitched Three Innings With The Kansas City A's.

This Particular Game Was Extraordinary Because Paige Was In A Rocking Chair And Had A Nurse In The Bullpen Waiting To Massage His Pitching Arm. And At The Time, He Was The <span style="font-style: italic;">Oldest Player In Major League History</span>.

Known For His Wit He Titled His Autobiography, <span style="font-style: italic;">Maybe I'll Pitch Forever</span>.

Paige Had An Incredibly Long Baseball Career. He Played 22 Years In The <span style="font-style: italic;">Negro</span> <span style="font-style: italic;">Leauges</span> And Played More Than 18 Years In The Major Leagues, Beginning In 1948, With The <span style="font-style: italic;">Cleveland Indians</span>. He Was The <i>F</i><span style="font-style: italic;">irst Black American League Pitcher.</span> The Alabama Native Was Famous For His Fastball And Showmanship.

Paige Was Born July 7, 1906. He Died Of A Heart Attack, In Kansas City, On June 8, 1982. He WasThe <i>First Negro League Player</i> Inducted Into The <span style="font-style: italic;">Baseball Hall Of Fame,</span> In August, 1971.
