9 million kids in America are growing up without an answer to this question. They make everyday choices that lead up to life's big decisions without enough guidance and support - the kind most of us count on. Every kid should have someone to turn to. Join the movement, Mentor IN REAL LIFE.

During National Mentoring Month mark these dates on your calendar!
* January 14, 2016: "I Am a Mentor Day"
* January 18, 2016: Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
* January 21, 2016: "Thank Your Mentor Day"
* January 27-29, 2016: National Mentoring Summit

Created in 2002 by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, National Mentoring Month focuses national attention on the need for mentors, as well as how each of us-individuals, businesses, government agencies, schools, faith communities and nonprofits-can work together to increase the number of mentors to assure positive outcomes for our young people.

In January 2016, National Mentoring Month (NMM) will mark its 15th yearas a large-scale public awareness campaign, which culminates with the annual National Mentoring Summit. At the national level, the effort is led by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, with support from the Highland Street Foundation.
