I'm driven by thought. The book "Crossing the Chasm" is closely related to the technology adoption lifecycle where five main segments are recognized; innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority and laggards.
An abbreviated version of The Technology Adoption Cycle:
- innovators - more educated, more prosperous and more risk-oriented
- early adopters - younger, more educated, tended to be community leaders
- early majority - more conservative but open to new ideas, active in community and influence to neighbors
- late majority - older, less educated, fairly conservative and less socially active
- laggards - very conservative - oldest and least educated
Now I’m going to get personal...just how I do. Think about your ability to lead, where might you fit on the cycle? How about your ability to follow direction? Mentor others and give back? Participate – actively participate – in the advancement of your company mission? Do you intend to do more than collect a check? Take caring of your staff?
Questions...many more of them. The solution: identify your fit within the cycle of human technology. Human performance. How might you better converge your activities, connections, efforts and intentions so that Mondays are a day of joy? How? It’s Monday — let's keep it moving!
