"Necessity is the mother of invention: In this economy, if you can't find a job, make one."

That seems to be the strategy of many people lately: The percentage of Americans starting businesses in 2010 was the highest in 15 years, according to a report from the Kauffman Foundation. Black entrepreneurs led this trend  through 2011, and with new indicators of a growing economy, it is likely to be the case in 2012.

We are refocusing our newsletter on building a stronger bond between Black consumers and Black-owned businesses.  Our weekly newsletter will be titled:
