"Necessity is the mother of invention: In this economy, if you can't find a job, make one."
That seems to be the strategy of many people lately: The percentage of Americans starting businesses in 2010 was the highest in 15 years, according to a report from the Kauffman Foundation. Black entrepreneurs led this trend through 2011, and with new indicators of a growing economy, it is likely to be the case in 2012.
We are refocusing our newsletter on building a stronger bond between Black consumers and Black-owned businesses. Our weekly newsletter will be titled:
The Black-Owned Business News Leader
- The definitive source for Black economic success
In 2012, we will dedicate our primary focus to Black business success with articles from Black business leaders, profiles of successful Black Entrepreneurs, tips and advice for Black business owners and consumers, as well as initiatives that will accelerate Black economic growth.
Welcome to the next phase of our journey to economic success. Whether you are a new Black-owned startup, a seasoned Black entrepreneur, or Black business professional, we will provide valuable insights and resources that lead to greater success in 2012. We invite your input and feedback.
