Join hands for a common cause with Black people across America in helping to make and record Black history by registering your name, familyorganization, spiritual center and/or business on the Historic Ujamaa Black Unity Wall Monument. The wall monument is located in Lafayette, Louisiana as a highlighted feature in Black I AM Bookstore, Art Gallery and Museum.  You can register online or down load the proper form to be mailed in. The Black Unity Wall Monument is being promoted nationally. Therefore, all are encouraged to participate irrespective of the city, town, or state in which you live.

What purpose will the wall monument serve?

The creation of the wall monument is intended to reflect the economic principles of unified Black Self-Help and Self Reliance. Also, the beautifully designed 30 ft. x 4 ft wall serves to embrace and honor our noble ancestors through the preservation of history.
