President Obama has named the first African American to head NASA. If his nomination is confirmed retired astronaut and Marine Corp officer Charles Bolden would be the first African American to lead NASA. President Obama believes that he is the best choice to turn the beleaguered agency around and take it forward into the 21st Century.
